The Ex - Unique Knife Holder from ThinkGeek

The Ex - Unique Knife Holder from ThinkGeekI love that this knife holder is called The Ex. Apparently it’s a more legal way to take your anger out on a person-shaped thing.

This is one of the most awesome things I’ve seen, period. It will always be a conversation piece and a wonderful gift idea. It comes in three colors, and has more cool stuff to it than what you see in the picture. Well, you can see it I guess, but it’s invisible. What am I talking about? Magnetism!

The knife holder comes with five stainless steel knives, each with its own protective sleeve to keep yourself cut-free and the knives free of dust I suppose. But the cool part is that each knife slot is magnetized. That will keep them right at home in their proper place even when people are picking it up to look at it. I think I may give this gift to many people I know. I just hope they don’t all find out!

Climb@Tron R.E.X.

Climb@Tron R.E.X.This little dude will crawl anywhere there’s a smooth surface. It doesn’t matter if it’s vertical or horizontal, ceiling or floor. The little REX uses his suction cups to go up walls and upside down on ceilings.

I’d say it would make a great gift for someone who is stuck in an office all day. I’d love to see it in action. It’s pretty cheap, so who knows how well it works. I’m also not sure about how many people have walls that are smooth enough for this guy to climb on. I guess to test it out, you can get a normal suction cup and see if it sticks to your wall or ceiling. It probably only needs to stay there for a few seconds. I’ve got that textured stuff in this room, so I’m not sure it would work in here, but man it would be pretty cool to have a little robot thing just crawling all over the place.

Huge Mario Statue

Yeah, that’s right, a huge Mario statue. This dude is just a hair under 5 feet tall, and apparently pretty heavy to boot. Now, the item description on the site I’m linking to tells about how it would be great for stores that sell video games and such. Maybe even to use it to boost sales if said store has problems competing with major chains. That’s all fine and dandy, and if you know someone with a store of that nature, I bet they would be shocked and overjoyed to receive this as a gift.

But may I submit another idea? How about someone who just has so much money that they don’t know what to do with it and wishes to drop $3,000 on this here statue for maybe their kid or grandkid or something. Maybe get it for a friend in college. It would serve a couple purposes. It would instantly make them the most awesome student around as well as burden their life with a statue to carry around forever.

One final thought here is that I used to play Sim City. Even when I cheated with that code that maxes out your money, I never put enough time into one city to get it to a population of 500,000. The gift you get at that point is a Mario fountain. That was the best gift in the whole game. So imagine how great of a gift this real-life statue would be!

Custom Design Flash Card MP3 Player

Custom Design Flash Card MP3 PlayerThis is a cool idea I suppose. It’s a 2 gig USB flash drive that doubles as an mp3 player. The catch is that it’s super slim and can easily fit in your pocket or purse and such. It already comes with a neat little water droplet design, but apparently you can get your own custom image or graphic on the thing. The control buttons are pretty small, but look to be spread out enough to easily find and use. It looks like they threw in some white earbud headphones that they ripped off from Apple, so your giftee can look nice and trendy with those coming out of their pocket.

The site where the product is for sale is apparently hosted in Hong Kong. It does have a .hk domain, so that’s what I’m assuming. The listed way to customize the graphic on the thing is just an email address, so I guess you work it out with them personally. That may be a good or a bad thing, I’ll be optimistic and figure it’s a good thing. Either way, it’s a pretty cool little gizmo that would be real handy to have around, since it can also hold any types of files just like any other flash drive.

Robot Laptop Bag at Rare Device

Robot Laptop Bag at Rare DeviceHere’s another bag that could be a gift for him or for her. See, it’s a bag for a laptop computer, comes in green or white (at the time of this posting, the white is sold out), it’s shiny, it’s got a leather strap and leather trim, and a robot juggling. A juggling robot! You really can’t beat that. Well, maybe you could beat it if the balls the robot is juggling were made of metal. Wait, they are made of metal!

I’d proudly tote my laptop around in this bag. I opted for the boring, plain black bag that I threw in when I ordered my laptop. If somebody got me an awesome bag like this with a juggling robot on it, I think I’d burn my current laptop bag.

Inky Ghost Button Bag from Etsy

Inky Ghost Button Bag from EtsySo this bag is pretty magical. It could be a great gift just about anybody, boy or girl, man or woman! Of course it’s the infamous ghost Inky, originally dressed in cyan, this time upgraded to a multi-shaded blue. Now for a history lesson that I totally cheated on with Wikipedia. Inky’s name in its native tongue is pronounced Kimagure, which means fickle. In the American Pac-Man, the ghost’s name is apparently Bashful, with the nickname of Inky. So there ya have it!

The reasons why I say this could be for anyone are as follows. Girls and women will like it because it’s very cute and crafty. Each button is hand woven onto the bag by the super stylin folks at Etsy. Boys and guys will like it because it’s really not a girly bag, as it’s nice and big, and represents the greatest past time of our generation: video games! It’s big enough to fit a video game system into as well so the kids can tote it over to the neighbor’s house.

Vampire Family Busts

This year, get excited about Halloween! Check out these small vampire busts. It’s a nice little fanged family consisting of a mother, father, and son. Each one has a nice little halloween critter on them. The father is sporting a raven, the son a spider, and the mother a rat!

As any good vampire family should be, they are dressed in the finest attire available to small vampire people made out of resin. There’s really nothing all that special to them, except for looking great in your freshly decorated Halloween house of terror. The 3 are available as a set as well as each one individually. Why not give them twin vampire sons?

Anniversary Crystal Flute Set

Make this year’s wedding anniversary last a lifetime. Looking for a great wedding anniversary gift idea? The personalized crystal flute set is the perfect long-lasting anniversary gift.

Each flute shaped crystal glass is 8½” tall with a twisted stem. Your names and the anniversary date will be engraved along with one of two different designs. Even if it’s an anniversary year that isn’t a multiple of 5, you can still do it! Personally, I’d go for a different number, like 13 or 27 or something unusual, just for fun! That’ll make people look twice.

Sari Reds Necklace

Sari Reds NecklaceNow, I just scoured the web to educate myself as to the definition of sari. Having learned that it is a traditional Indian female garment, I’m really not too sure why this is called Sari Reds Necklace. It isn’t fabric, and I don’t believe it’s from India. I do know, however, that it’s a nice, subtle style that would look good on a woman with class.

Apparently the necklace is held together with what is called gold-filled wire. It’s not solid gold, but it’s bonded together in a way to make it the next best thing to solid gold, and of course, at a more favorable price. The necklace can be adjusted just by clasping it shut wherever the wearer would like it clasped, no problem.
