15 Inch Digital Photo Frame

15 Inch Digital Photo FrameDigital photo frames are a great way to go if you don’t want to have the same old photo sitting on your desk for years. They keep it interesting, and make it very easy to change photos.

You can use just about any kind of memory card loaded with pictures to insert into the frame. Once it’s in there, you can have a nice slideshow of all the pictures on there. You can also hook this up to an external hard drive, so really, there isn’t a limit on how many photos this thing will show. The cool thing about this one is that it’s a whopping 15″ frame! It’s called the Gigantor, great name. Digital frames are kind of expensive, but this one is priced very reasonably for such a large one. They’ve got other sizes over at ThinkGeek too, as in 10.4″ and 8″.

Amazon Kindle

Amazon KindleThis is a new product from Amazon called the Kindle. It’s a portable reader basically, but it’s oh so much more.

The Kindle has wireless connectivity similar to a cell phone, only you don’t need the contract and service agreement to make it work. The display actually uses ink and is called Electronic Paper. So that means that your eyes will feel like they are reading paper instead of an electronic screen, and the best part is that you can read it in the daylight with no problem. It claims to reflect light just like paper, awesome.

You can download books, newspapers, and blogs to the Kindle and store them on it so you can read them anytime. It has a bookmark system so it will remember where you left off in your reading last time you finished. All in all, if you know a book reader who travels frequently, this could be the best gift they ever receive. Even somebody who just loves a good book will enjoy the Kindle. The book download feature sounds great, of course the books aren’t free, but you can get them almost as soon as you think you’d like to read that book…pretty sweet.

Our Love Photo Cube

Our Love Photo CubeI just got an email from PersonalizationMall.com saying there is still time to order things for Valentine’s Day. I imagine there are a lot of people out there like me who put off shopping for gifts til the last minute. So this is a great chance to get something on short notice and make it look like you put a lot of work into it!

This is a photo cube that you can put a few photos into and have the first name of you and your love engraved into the O. Ordering last minute means you’ll want to spend a bit more to get it shipped next day or two day air, but getting it there in time for Valentine’s Day will make that well worth it in the end.

Cuisinart Food Processor

Cuisinart Food ProcessorI put up a lot of tasty food gift ideas that may not be the most healthy snack for you or your giftee. This go around I’m going with whatever it is the proud owner of this lovely Cuisinart food processor wants to eat!

Now, I know that usually these are used to make fruit juices and vegetable blends and all kinds of good healthy stuff, but imagine what you could use this for at its full potential. Maybe some chocolaty goodness of some sort. Perhaps you could throw in some pastries and fruit and make a nice dessert. I’m sure it’s not advised, but it’s always fun to try to make something good in the kitchen.

Bittersweets

BittersweetsTired of the same old little Valentine’s Day chalky hearts? Well these are the same antacid type of treat, but they have much different messages on them than the usual.

The three tins to choose from are Dejected, Dysfunctional, and Dumped. This picture gives a little peek at what to expect from these. Clicking through will give you the entire list of every inscription on these hearts. Have some fun giving out downer hearts this year!

Key to My Heart Crystalized Keepsake

Key to My Heart Crystalized KeepsakeI put another Personalized Heart Glass Ornament thing up here for the Christmas season. Now it’s time for the Valentine’s Day version. This one is more classy indeed.

It’s about 5 inches tall and wide, and I love the style on the edges. They look like they are wet, but that’s just the snazzy design. Like the other personalized gift ideas on this blog, you can add your own message to it for that special someone. It’s a gift that will be seen every day by the recipient, so make sure you really like the person!

Valentine Snack Gift Pack

Valentine Snack Gift PackNuts, crackers, cheese, and meat. What else do you need in any gift basket? Well, how about a stainless steel cleaver? Now it’s a perfect Valentine’s Day gift!

This is the first gift basket I’ve seen that includes any type of cutting utensil, and they don’t mess around, they include a nice meat cleaver, which is awesome. It’s pretty inexpensive too, so there really isn’t any reason why everybody shouldn’t have their own meat cleaver and heart shaped block of cheddar cheese. The other things in there are whole cashews, garlic herb crackers, and beef sausage. Good stuff.

One Pound Chocolate Heart

One Pound Chocolate HeartHere’s a weird and kind of creepy Valentine’s Day gift idea. It’s a chocolate replica of a human heart that weighs an entire pound! That picture makes it look even more creepy than it probably is I’m guessing.

This might be a good gift idea for a medical student or professional I’d imagine. I think some people would really get a kick out of it while others might kick you if you gave it to them for Valentine’s Day. Either way, this is one of the most original ideas I’ve seen. It would be awesome if it was filled with some raspberry sauce or something that made it look like it was bleeding when it got bitten into. Ew!

Give somebody a bigger heart here.

Photo Valentine’s Day Cards

Photo Valentine's Day CardsHere are some more Valentine’s Day cards. This particular one is pink with just a hint of chocolate brown in the border for a nice change. Obviously, you can put your own picture in there of you or your family, or really anything you want.

Here’s an idea for ya. Get a picture of some guys who are roommates in college, order some cards with their pictures on them and then send those cards to people they know! That would be a swell prank.

Chronicles of Narnia Box Set

Chronicles of Narnia Box SetNow with the release of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe as a movie, and I think more to come, more people will enjoy reading the full Chronicles of Narnia. I personally had never read the books as a kid, so I bought this very box set for myself. I’m on the third book right now, and they’re a great easy read.

There are 2 orders to read the books. They are ordered in the box chronologically by the plot of the story. But CS Lewis enthusiasts insist that the proper way to read them is the order in which they were written. That order is as follows:

  1. The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe
  2. Prince Caspian
  3. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
  4. The Silver Chair
  5. The Horse and His Boy
  6. The Magician’s Nephew
  7. The Last Battle

So there ya have it! That’s the order I’m reading them in, and I wouldn’t know much of a difference the other way around, but it supposedly ruins some of the surprises if you read it in the order the box set has them. This would make a great gift for somebody who enjoys reading and maybe someone with some children.
