These things look like so much fun. I have yet to get mine (you’d better believe I’m getting some for myself), but I can’t wait for the endless fun they’ll provide. You can magically make all kinds of well structured…structures with these little things. Being one of the weirdest things I’ve posted on this blog, I feel it appropriate to include a little video demonstration of said weirdness. Here’s a little clip of this Virtual Finger Game I found on YouTube.

The clip starts out with a tiny stick man being terrorized by the huge finger. Then at the push of a real button on the housing of the box, a menu appears. That menu, apparently, cycles through the characters with the touch of a digital button. The finger goes on to play with a blob and then an adorable panda who is clinging onto a tire swing. Just precious. Bonus: The song is mesmerizing.

You really can’t go wrong getting this poster for any guy who is into Star Wars, or movies, or just plain old interested in attractive women! Carrie Fisher was at her best as Princess Leia, and there really isn’t a whole lot more to say about it. If you don’t know who Princess Leia is, I’m sorry, you’ve obviously been in seclusion for a few decades. Welcome to the world, go watch Star Wars.

The poster measures 36″ x 24″ and will put a smile on the face of a cubicle slave every day. I categorized this as “Tech Stuff” because any techie will appreciate Leia watching him do his thing.

The pod has a motion detector that will close when it senses a bug (or finger I suppose) and snaps shut. It’s cupped so that the bug won’t be squished. That means you can check the little dude out before you do whatever else it is you’d like to do with the prisoner.

At first I thought this was just a little toy, but it’s pretty good sized. It weighs a full pound and is 9 inches tall. This is a pretty serious bug catcher, and it’s pretty cheap too! So give this as a gift to somebody who likes to play a little while they’re at work. They’ll be the popular person for the week at work for sure!

Now that dream of flying pigs is a reality! This trio of flying animals will not only fly into a desk 6 cubicles away, but make plenty of noise on the trip. As the image so colorfully displays, each animal makes a different sound of glee whilst soaring through the air.

The way it works is simple. The arms (or chicken’s neck) have elastic bands in them and a little place to put your fingers as anchors. Pull the animal back and let her rip!

Oh, and I suppose kids would love these airborne animals as well…not just bored office workers!

The button doesn’t do anything of course, and I’m not sure if it even depresses at all, but boy it sure looks good! One tip in the comments on the product’s page is that it’s not too great of an idea to put it on a laptop computer…it won’t shut thereafter.

You can use just about any kind of memory card loaded with pictures to insert into the frame. Once it’s in there, you can have a nice slideshow of all the pictures on there. You can also hook this up to an external hard drive, so really, there isn’t a limit on how many photos this thing will show. The cool thing about this one is that it’s a whopping 15″ frame! It’s called the Gigantor, great name. Digital frames are kind of expensive, but this one is priced very reasonably for such a large one. They’ve got other sizes over at ThinkGeek too, as in 10.4″ and 8″.

So benefit #1 is right there, it’s a great conversation piece. Benefit #2 is the fact that it’s totally awesome! Just look at it. It’s 4″ wide and 5″ tall. It makes me think of Emerald City in Oz. Yeah? I think so.

It’s a 3D puzzle (I’m not sure why it’s called a 4D game, maybe because it will take so much of your time away) where you try to get a metal ring out of the cubic labyrinth. I’ve searched for videos to see it in action, but to no avail. Apparently there’s a little metal ring, it looks like it may be around an inch in diameter, and you slide it around the edges of the cube in search of a way to get it detached from the cube. Word is that once you start, it’s very hard to put the thing down.

So maybe if you know someone who thinks they’re a master of puzzle solving, you can throw this new one at them.

Now it gets much better. You can connect the two cubes and the two guys will interact with each other! As you can see there in the picture, they like to play pranks on one another. There are two other cube people you can get as well – Toner, a corporate desk jockey, and Dash, a delivery man. Apparently if you have all four connected, they will all interact with each other in a glorious meeting of stick figures. Crazy stuff.
