There are all kinds of lamps and lights out there. Most have a switch of some sort, some are activated by touch alone, and some are turned on and off when you clap. This one presents a new way to control the light.
All you have to do to turn the Airswitch on and off is wave your hand over it! Not only can you turn it on and off, you can adjust its brightness by moving your hand higher or lower above the thing. Pretty awesome. It reminds me of a theremin, which is a musical instrument played by moving your hands in the proximity of the thing.
The light is available in four colors: red, blue, green, or orange. It’s 9½” tall, is made of glass, and uses a 40 watt bulb. This is apparently just another piece of evidence showing that I must have some weird obsession with lighting. Maybe it’s just that there are so many weird and unique types of lighting out there.
