Oh man, I saw this and just had to post it. It made me think of the episode of The Office where Michael gets back from his cruise with the steel drum and keeps playing hot hot hot. I love it.
You should get this for someone and show them how easy it is to play. Just show them that “song” that Michael plays. Show them about a dozen times and see how they react to it. Or you can get it for someone as a work present and they can use it to annoy the co-workers.
Okay, enough with the stupidity. This is actually a pretty cool little steel drum. It’s only eight inches in diameter, but it plays nine notes and even comes with a song book. Steel drums have a pretty cool sound to them. I’ve seen a live band of steel drum players and it was pretty good stuff. I’m not sure how much good can come from one steel drum, but it would be fun to try and find out.
