Zhu Zhu Pets Hamsters

Zhu Zhu Pets HamsterBlack Friday 2009 is almost here, so I figured I’d put up some hot sellers for this year. Today we’ve got the Zhu Zhu Pets Hamster. This little dude looks a lot like a real hamster, except it’s yellow and won’t die after a week of wrestling around with kids! I really don’t know much about these except that you can get all kinds of pretty awesome contraptions for these little furballs to run around in.

The links on this post will take you to Amazon’s page of all things by Zhu Zhu Pets. So make all the kids happy by getting them a hamster playground with non-stinking battery powered hamsters!

$299 Playstation 3

PS3You may have seen all the commercials. Well, it’s true, the new Playstation 3 is only $299. I still don’t have one for myself, and really need to take advantage of this price.

Of course, the games are all in the neighborhood of $60, but that’s OK because its main purpose for many is as a Blu-Ray DVD player. Hot diggity dog!

So really, there’s not much reason to not get somebody a PS3 as a gift this year, really. It plays movies in 1080p, so if you have a nice new LCD or Plasma TV, hook this puppy up and you’ll be in HD heaven. Merry HD Christmas time!

Help somebody enter this generation of high quality here.

Disney Stuff

Walt Disney Collectibles and Gifts, Disney FigurinesSince opening this blog a couple years back, I have moved to Central Florida, which is where the magical land of Disney World resides. With Christmas coming up soon, many little girls want nothing more than some great little gifts from Disney.

Check out everything from Hannah Montana dolls to Tinkerbell necklaces to Mickey Mouse phones. There are all kinds of figurines and statuettes representing many Disney characters. This is the real stuff too, no rip offs here. Due to that, the prices are gonna make the purchase count, but the face of the recipient should be well worth it!

So head on over to check out the full line of Disney collectibles.

Happy Birthday Cards from Tiny Prints

Happy BirthdayCards are a key element of gift giving. These particular cards are designed with corporate birthdays in mind. It’s a nice design that fits any style birthday.

These cards are personalizable, which I don’t think is a word, but I’m going to use it anyway. Why not stock up on birthday cards anyway? See, I say that because the minimum order for these cards is 25. That may be a bit much for the casual gift-giver, but for a company with hundreds of employees, this makes it nice and easy to distribute good wishes on those many special days.

Get a lot of cards here.

BuckyBalls Magnetic Building Spheres

BuckyBalls Magnetic Building SpheresNow this is quite possibly the coolest thing I’ve ever posted about here on the good old gift idea blog that this is. Who doesn’t love magnets? I love those things! Here, you get 216 tiny spheres of magnetic fun!

These things look like so much fun. I have yet to get mine (you’d better believe I’m getting some for myself), but I can’t wait for the endless fun they’ll provide. You can magically make all kinds of well structured…structures with these little things. If you don’t believe me, or just want to get super excited about getting some of these for you and all of your friends, check out this little demonstration video:

Graduation Invitations

Graduation InvitationIt’s that time of year again. Many young and not as young students are finally to that point where they get to try and figure out what to do next in life. Sweet, sweet graduation.

Whether it be high school graduation, college graduation, or graduation from some crazy thing I haven’t even heard of, TinyPrints has what you’re looking for. I’ve searched many a site for professional looking invitations that are affordable and customizable, and I honestly can find none better than TinyPrints.

In this day and age, when many of us have a nice digital camera, there really isn’t much of a need to go to a professional photographer to get that one shot, or maybe two, that you want to send out to let everybody know about the special moment. So take some shots, head over to TinyPrints, and order those invitations!

Let the world know you’re moving on here!

Swedish Fire Steel

Swedish Fire SteelHere’s a very practical gift idea. It’s a simple little key chain sized fire starter. When you slide the key looking thing against the little stick, sparks fly out at 3,000°C which is 5432°F. Yeah, that’s pretty hot.

The crazy little thing even works when it’s wet. I’m not sure anything will light when it’s when, but this thing will keep sparking. Get this for your closest friend who wants to go out and be like Bear Grylls!

Come on baby light my fire.

A Slew of Busted T-Shirts

Today The Gift Idea Blog brings you a nice little group of t-shirts from Busted Tees. These are some of my favorites. Now it’s time for blurbs about each of them!

I Heart AccuracyI tend to sometimes be a bit of an annoying nitpicker when it comes to accuracy. I realize, however, that I’m pretty inconsistent myself. Anyway, if you’re like me, you may have wondered why we commonly make that heart shape we’re all so used to when a real heart looks like the leftover chunk of beef that nobody wanted to eat because it’s all full of gristle and nastiness. Problem solved here! This shirt should make a great gift for your friend who always points out your mistakes.

Candy vs. CornThis shirt is just plain old awesome. I love some good Halloween candy corn; who doesn’t? I know dentists are sure glad they exist! But really, look at the faces on the mutant candy corn and the cob man who seems to fear he may be destined to have the same fate. It’s just pure goodness. So you should buy it for somebody right now.
Yummy.
Candy Corn.

BRBGet it? Yeah? See, BRB means “Be Right Back” and it is commonly used in online conversations to indicate one of the parties will be leaving the computer alone for a few moments. Now, that’s a boomerang there, following the proper arm motion, when the boomerang leaves your hand, it will also be away for a few moments, but then return. So, get it now? Oh, you got it at first glance, ok. Yeah, by now, you’ve probably already left the site, so I’m just rambling on. Two left!

RirrutoAlright, here we are with the first of two t-shirts with movie references. This one is probably pretty well known, but I’ll jar the old memory for ya. Remember in Billy Madison when Billy’s cursive writing is tested by Miss Veronica Vaughn? Frank Rizzuto morphs into Frank Rirruto. Classic Adam Sandler goodness.
Quit looking at me swan!
I’m pretty sure I would be rewarded no points for this answer, you are now dumber for reading this.

Urban AchieversAnd finally, a more obscure movie reference. Anybody get it? Here are some clues: Dude, Bowling, Donnie, Rug, Creedence, The Jesus, White Russian, Nihilists, Bunny. Well, if that didn’t do it for ya, you probably noticed the word Lebowski on the shirt. It’s all from the Big one of those, as in The Big Lebowski.

Thanks for reading and such!

Tuttuki Bako Virtual Finger Game

Tuttuki Bako Virtual Finger GameHere’s a weird one for ya! This little box has different digital characters who live inside. You get to stick your gigantic (in proportion to them) finger in a hole on the side of the box and mess with the little creatures! Why not?

Being one of the weirdest things I’ve posted on this blog, I feel it appropriate to include a little video demonstration of said weirdness. Here’s a little clip of this Virtual Finger Game I found on YouTube.

The clip starts out with a tiny stick man being terrorized by the huge finger. Then at the push of a real button on the housing of the box, a menu appears. That menu, apparently, cycles through the characters with the touch of a digital button. The finger goes on to play with a blob and then an adorable panda who is clinging onto a tire swing. Just precious. Bonus: The song is mesmerizing.

Stick your finger in this link here.
